Benazir Bhutto
It's one thing to say that you'll die for your country. It's quite another to put yourself on the line, accessible and vulnerable, just trying to get the people in your country to join your fight with not much more than your mind and ideas.
She said she would die for her country. And she did.
Regardless of her politics, she's an example of determination and perseverance. And she is a reminder that, for every Benazir Bhutto, there are thousands of people fighting for freedom all over the world, using nothing more than their words and ideas. From Cuba to Tibet to Venezuela to North Korea.
For that reminder alone, that our Democracy and Freedom are not the natural state of things in the world we should be thankful so that we don't take our liberties for granted.
